Wild review
Posted : 10 years ago on 20 January 2015 02:58 (A review of Wild)Nothing really wild about this film about redemption and accepting to live with your past. Decent movie. Good stuff. (The book was way much better imho.)

Into the Woods review
Posted : 10 years ago on 20 January 2015 02:57 (A review of Into the Woods)Not much of a musical fan. That said, it's a decent watch, with decent special effects. Streep was superbly cast. Decent adaptation from stage to screen.

La marque des anges - Miserere review
Posted : 10 years ago on 2 January 2015 01:57 (A review of La marque des anges - Miserere)A decent adaptation of Grangรฉ's book (remember him? his first novel adapted to the screen was Crimson Rivers). Confusing yet engaging at times, it is still a decent watch with a complex story.

The International review
Posted : 10 years ago on 2 January 2015 01:49 (A review of The International)This movie looked quite promising, but in the end turns out to be very disappointing. Too many flaws in the story for it to be even remotely believable. Acting performances are decent though, although at times Watts overacts (IMHO).

Foxcatcher review
Posted : 10 years, 1 month ago on 29 December 2014 02:46 (A review of Foxcatcher)A little slow at times, but worth watching. Learned much about this man, the situation and the world of wrestling. Be patient as you watch, as it took us a good 90 minutes (out of the 120 minutes of the film) to finally "get into it". If you last that long, everything will make sense, it is be a decent watch. Decent acting performances by Carell, Ruffalo and Tatum.

The Identical review
Posted : 10 years, 1 month ago on 29 December 2014 02:43 (A review of The Identical)Can you say "predictable" or "box office flop" any faster? This was horrendous to watch. Avoid. Two hours of my life I won't get back.

The November Man review
Posted : 10 years, 1 month ago on 29 December 2014 01:16 (A review of The November Man)Actually quite surprised at this. Excellent entertainment. Few parts in script didn't make sense, but after a 2nd viewing, the beginning made more sense :) Decent acting performances. Worth watching.

Monsters University review
Posted : 10 years, 1 month ago on 29 December 2014 01:15 (A review of Monsters University)Always nice to fall back to our kiddie selves ;) while watching silly animations. This is not as good as the first. Still a good watch.

Grace of Monaco review
Posted : 10 years, 1 month ago on 29 December 2014 01:14 (A review of Grace of Monaco)Totally insignificant/dull performances by Roth and Kidman. However I went into it not knowing much about Kelly, Rainier or Monaco, so it was an interesting watch nonetheless - if there's any truth to the story at all.

Beauty and the Beast review
Posted : 10 years, 1 month ago on 29 December 2014 01:13 (A review of Beauty and the Beast)Visually stunning, and worth watching only for that. Quite poor acting performances. Why is it I always feel a movie's a comedy when watching French actors perform? Such theatrical acts.
